Super Seb took of like a rocket at the start and made over 4 seconds quickly over his team mate Webber, almost mocking his mate's pole position status!
Then Lewis Hamilton enthralled his fellow country men by driving like a man possessed and made places in the early stages of the race. His successful overtaking manoeuvre on Alonso was one that will be remembered as a classic one.
Alonso showed his mettle and also respect for his competitor by not shutting the door on Lewis.
As I had mentioned yesterday, the blown floor issue had hurt many a team and until dry conditions prevail the level of damage would not come to light.
While Vettel and Webber controlled the race when the conditions were wet they suddenly looked like sitting ducks when the track dried out. With Alonso beginning to devour the track it became obvious that Ferrari was the team that had benefitted from the rule change and Redbull suddenly ran out of energy confirming the fact that that they are bleeding the most.

With Alonso clocking over 1.5 secs per lap and Massa clocking faster than Hamilton in the fag end of the race it is obvious that the championship is far from decided. It will take a while for Redbull to recover from the setback and Alonso could well take the battle to Vettel's camp. There is no doubt that the FIA has by its minor correction in regulations helped Ferrari in bouncing back.
The very fact that Massa came alive in the last laps and almost put it past Hamilton also points to the fact that even McLaren has suffered to due to the changed regulation. Perhaps the change has affected all teams other than the Scudderia. Or have they prepared for this eventuality? I think they did.
Force India had a roller coaster ride in the backyard of their factory. They had a strong showing in the early part of the race that rapidly went down hill when the pit crew messed up with Paul's / Sutil tyre mix up.
It was a big blow to Mallya's outfit which is now rapidly gaining reputation for developing a fair race pace. Not to forget that valuable points were lost. Considering that their two cars were running a superb 7/8th for most part of the race Force India has to put this glitch behind and keep the focus – and that is to achieve podium in the Indian GP.
Schumacher added masala to the race by doing what is becoming a habit. Bumping in to cars. Regardless of such incidents it was a thoroughly entertaining race until the flag dropped. The Massa/Lewis incident in the last corner and the silly move that Webber made to attempt to overtake his teammate Vettel proved that the hunger to succeed can cloud an otherwise rational thought process. Webber is frustrated for sure. The question is will Vettel ever be? Alonso and Ferrari hold some answers for sure!
